This work is made by editing part of the 400.000 stills captured by space probe Rosetta following the comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko (67P). The probe was named after the Rosetta Stone, Egyptian stele featuring a decree in three scripts. Through meticulous editing and creative composition, the video immerses its audience in the awe-inspiring beauty and mysteries of our solar system.
As the imagery unfolds, viewers are treated to a breathtaking portrayal of the comet's icy surface, dramatic landscapes, and the interplay of light and shadow on its rugged terrain. The video not only showcases the incredible achievements of space exploration but also serves as a testament to the boundless wonders of the cosmos. Adrift invites us to contemplate the infinite majesty of our universe and it is a testament to the power of human curiosity and ingenuity.
Special thanks to the European Space Agency for rendering the pictures available and to Vasco Guedes for the music.
